Booting up GTA 5 in 2026 still has that messy, lovely sandbox feel. The PS5 version hasn't wiped the old Story Mode codes, and players chasing GTA 5 Money often bump into the same truth first: cheats are for chaos, not cash.
What still works on PS5 and PS4
The PlayStation button codes are basically the PS4 set carried forward. You enter them while playing, not from the pause menu. Phone numbers work too, though a few special rides still need their little unlock event first.
PC gets one extra route: console commands, usually opened with the º key. Still, loads of PC players just use the in-game phone because it feels cleaner. Less alt-tabbing, less fiddling, more crashing into Vinewood traffic.
Cheat flow that actually matters
The Meta: use health armor weapons and wanted level codes for quick Story Mode messing about.
The Snag: trophies and achievements stop tracking for that session once a cheat lands.
The Fix: save first then treat the session like a throwaway playground.
Reality check: everyone says they'll only test one code, then somehow a Buzzard is smoking outside Ammu-Nation.
Codes players keep reaching for
Max health and armor, invincibility, all weapons, explosive ammo, fast run, fast swim, lower wanted level, and spawn Buzzard are the usual favourites. Invincibility only lasts five minutes, so don't get cocky. Skyfall without a parachute is funny once.
Reddit currently claims: mission use is still weird, so most players avoid cheats during jobs and test them in free roam instead.
Quick setup notes before messing around
Save file: manual save before any cheat-heavy session.
Online mode: avoid Story Mode cheat logic because GTA Online does not support official cheat codes.
Money, Online, and the stuff people get wrong
There's no official infinite money cheat in Story Mode, and GTA Online has no legit money code either. Stocks, heists, resale tricks, and missions are the real grind. If someone advertises cheap GTA 5 Money, treat it as a separate risk decision, not a Rockstar cheat.
